Alexander Tormasov work in MIPT since 1987. As an
Associate Professor at MIPT and the Deputy Chairman of Chair of Computer Science
at MIPT, in charge of all advanced computer science education in
MIPT.
Interests: OS architecture and resource
scheduling, OS and hardware virtualization technologies, computer security,
distributed and P2P systems, 3D graphics, new human-computer interfaces,
hyperbolic PDE, computer science education and research
projects. Published more than 50 articles in various academic scientific
journals. Holds a M.Sc. in Mathematics (1987) with Summa Cum Laude and a Ph.D.
in Computer Science and Computational Mathematics from MIPT (1990). Actively
work with post and under graduate students; was Thesis Supervisor for 6
postgraduate students which successfully defense their PhD dissertations in OS
resource group scheduling algorithms, OS virtualization, distributed storages
and 3D interfaces. Holder of more than 50 US patents and patent
applications related to OS and hardware virtualization, distributed storages,
