Alexander Tormasov work in MIPT since 1987. Full Professor of Chair of Computer Science at MIPT, Deputy Chairman. Chairman of Base Chair "Theoretical and Applied Computer Science" since 2010. Interests: Cloud Computing, OS architecture and resource scheduling, OS and hardware virtualization technologies, computer security, distributed and P2P systems, parallel high performance programing, emulation of computational resources consumption using hyperbolic PDE, computer science, education and research projects. Published more than 100 articles in various academic scientific journals. Holds a M.Sc. in Mathematics (1987) with Summa Cum Laude, a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Computational Mathematics from MIPT (1990), Doctor of Science (Habil.) from MIPT (2008). Actively work with post and under graduate students; Thesis Supervisor for 16 postgraduate students (2010) which successfully defense their PhD dissertations in OS resource group scheduling algorithms, OS virtualization, distributed storages, static race detection and 3D interfaces. Holder of more than 100 US and other countries patents and patent applications related to OS and hardware virtualization, distributed storages, data reliability and other topics.
