Admission procedure
How to become a student of Moscow Institute of Physics and Thecnology.
Step 1.
Choose a faculty to study at our University.
Step 2. Fill in the application form and e-mail it to intoff@oms.mipt.ru.
Step 3. Send upon request the copy of your international passport and the copy of educational documents with translation in English or Russian languages to International Department by e-mail: intoff@oms.mipt.ru.
Step 4. You will receive the University Admission Confirmation Letter in 10 working days. Please, do not hesitate contact us if you have any question.
Step 5.As soon as you received Admission Confirmation Letter transfer Application fee of 55 EURO(non-refundable).
Step 6. MIPT starts visa support processing that takes 30 days. Wait for the Invitation letter within 1 month after confirmation. This visa support document gives the right to apply for an entry visa at the Russian Embassy or Consulate in your country prior to arrival in Russia.
Step 7. While waiting for the Invitation letter, contact to the Embassy of the Russian Federation in your country to get necessary information concerning the documents you may need to submit and collect all the necessary documents for getting visa.
Step 8. Your Invitation letter is valid for 90 days. The expiration date of the Invitation letter and entrance visa is the same. You're obliged to arrive at Moscow a month before the expiration of the visa.
Step 9. After receiving the visa: s end the information about your travel route (airline, flight number, arrival time, etc.) to international students office . You're obliged to arrive at Moscow 5 working days before the beginning of the classes, and not later than a month before expiration of the visa.
Step 10. Please, save all the tickets and a Migration card (you'll get it on the intersection of the frontier) for submission to the University upon your arrival. Pay attention: you have to write in visit purpose section: “STUDY” (“Учеба” – in Russian), and name of organization MIPT (or МФТИ – in Russian)
Step 11. As you arrived at MIPT you are to submit next documents.
Step 12. Upon your arrival you need to pay:
- 9 EURO for the registration and multiple visa,
- 80 EURO per 10 months for your health insurance.
